San Francisco is one of the world's great cruise ports with a dramatic arrival through
the two-mile strait of the Golden Gate, under the legendary Golden Gate bridge past
the parks, forts and maritime centers on the south side of San Francisco Bay, in
front of the world famous tourist sights of Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, and ending
at Pier 35.
Since 1979, Metro has been the terminal operator and stevedore for the San Francisco
passenger terminal, Pier 35. Located in America's favorite city, the 100,000 square
feet facility boasts two berths and areas for passenger loading/unloading, bus staging
and cargo handling. Also provided are a passenger lounge, viewing walkway, and abundant
event space.
As the stevedores for the cruise lines calling the
Port of San Francisco, Metro loads and discharges the ship's stores
and catering and hotel provisions necessary for successful passenger cruises. We
offer our total package of cruise services to many of our partners at Pier 35 including
ground guest and agency services.
Last year, Metro Ports became the terminal operator for the Pier 80 Omni-Terminal
where we provide breakbulk, steel, project cargo, and layberth services.
