Metropolitan has built a solid reputation for handling break bulk, steel, and
general cargos. Some of the more interesting cargos we have handled are:

The entire Fontana Kaiser steel mill (knocked-down) in 6 shiploads to China.

Imported streetcars for Los Angeles’ Blue, Red and Green Rail Lines.

We are flexible and prepared for most anything. We maintain a fully stocked
gear department; ready for any circumstances. Shackles, spreaders, hawsers,
slings, large mafis, heavy capacity forklifts, mobile cranes, everything it
takes for excellence in break bulk handling, we have or can obtain it in a
hurry.
